A Morning at World Haven#

Theme: A park keeper visits animals from different habitats before guests arrive.

Leo worked at a giant animal park called World Haven. At sunrise, the loud cry of a cock woke him up. He walked past the park entrance, which had a beautiful wooden carving of a mythical dragon. First, he inspected the farm area. A worker adjusted a heavy leather harness on a strong ox, while another placed a soft saddle on a brown horse. Nearby, a patient donkey stood beside a striped zebra. In the open field, a large herd of cattle grazed peacefully. A muscular bull with a sharp curved horn watched over a playful young calf, while a heavy buffalo rested in the cool mud. In the barn corner, a gentle sheep fed her little lamb.

Leo then walked down the quiet path where smaller creatures lived. A fast hare darted across the grass, startling a tiny brown mouse and a gray rat hiding by the grain sacks. Up in a tall oak, a busy squirrel hid nuts in the bark, while a bright green frog jumped into a pond. Gracefully floating on the water was a pure white swan, followed closely by a noisy goose. Above the pond, a swift swallow caught insects in the air, a tiny sparrow hopped on the fence, a gray pigeon searched for breadcrumbs, and a dark crow called from a wooden post.

Next, Leo entered the cool forest zone. High in a hollow tree, a sleepy owl blinked at him. In the rocky cliffs above, impressive birds ruled the sky: a noble eagle circled overhead, while a fierce hawk and a swift falcon rested on high branches. Down below, a mother bear walked with her playful cub, showing it how to find sweet roots. Nearby, a clever red fox trotted silently through the bushes, keeping away from the distant territory of a grey wolf. In a quiet bamboo grove, a giant black-and-white panda sat comfortably, chewing fresh green shoots.

Leo then reached the warm savannah and desert habitats. A tall camel walked calmly across the sand, perfectly suited for the dry heat. Across the fence on the grass, an energetic kangaroo leaped past with huge jumps. Further ahead, a majestic African elephant sprayed refreshing water over its back with its long trunk. Leo admired its magnificent tusks, thinking how important it was to protect wild animals so their valuable ivory is never taken by hunters.

Finally, Leo visited the water pavilions. In the deep sea pool, a giant blue whale surfaced and blew a tall fountain of mist into the air. Beside the pool, a green sea turtle glided smoothly through the water, while a slow land tortoise rested on the dry bank. In the icy indoor area, a cheerful penguin waddled across the snow, and a sleek mother seal lovingly nudged her newborn pup. Leo smiled and closed his morning checklist. Every animal was safe and happy, and the park was ready to open its gates.
