A Day at the Lake Camp#

Theme: Friends enjoy outdoor activities during a summer trip by the lake.

Leo was very excited because his summer vacation had finally started. Together with his friends, he arrived at a sunny forest camp near a clear blue lake. A friendly park guide gave a polite bow to greet the group before their day excursion began. The friends worked together under the warm sun to build each sleeping tent on the soft grass.

Before noon, they decided to prepare a meal. Leo’s sister liked to jog along the flat dirt road to stay active, while the others set out fruit and sandwiches for a lovely picnic. “We need dry wood for the fire tonight,” the guide said. Leo went to hunt for fallen branches in the woods. He had to bend down near the tall bushes to find dry wood, and then drag the thick branches back to the path. His friend helped him pull the heaviest log across the grass.

After lunch, the group started a steep hike toward a high lookout point. Near the main gate, a lonely pedestrian waved hello to them from the sidewalk. The guide told everyone to keep a steady pace so they would not get tired early. Leo watched every single step carefully because he did not want to trip over exposed tree roots. “Do not stride too fast,” the guide warned, “because a steep climb can feel like a hard marathon.” One boy attempted a fast race to the top, but his tired legs caused him to lag behind the others. Still, they helped each other climb the rocky trail.

At the top of the ridge, the view was beautiful. The hikers made sure not to wander into dangerous bushes, and they did not linger in the hot sun for too long. Suddenly, a wild rabbit made a quick leap from behind a bush and began to hop down the rocky hillside. Right behind it, a small rubber ball fell from Leo’s bag and started to bounce down the path. Leo had to jump over a puddle to stop it, while a tiny frog made a sudden spring into the tall grass.

In the afternoon, they returned to the cool lake to relax. They watched large tour boats cruise across the water, and colorful fallen leaves begin to drift gently with the gentle waves. The weather was hot, so Leo was ready to plunge into the clear water. Standing on the wooden pier, he took a breath and decided to dive straight in. It was the perfect ending to an amazing outdoor adventure.

在山脊顶端，景色十分美丽。徒步者们确保自己不漫步走入危险的灌木丛，也没有在烈日下逗留太久。突然，一只野兔从灌木丛后敏捷地跃起，开始沿着布满岩石的山坡单足跳跃。紧接着，一个小橡胶球从里奥的包里掉了出来，开始沿着小径弹跳。里奥不得不跳过一个水坑去拦住它，而一只小青蛙则突然跳跃进了茂密的草丛中。

下午，他们回到凉爽的湖边放松。他们看着大型游船在水面上巡航，五彩斑斓的落叶随着轻柔的波浪缓缓漂流。天气很热，所以里奥准备纵身跃入清澈的水中。站在木质码头上，他深吸了一口气，决定直接潜水进去。这是一场精彩户外冒险的完美结局。
